Playing at Coral poker is an enjoyable experience and the fact that there is no download required to play the game makes it easy to get started. theres hardly any waiting around, or any complications with making deposits or that sort of thing either. All transactions are handled with the utmost professionalism by Coral too due to their experience as a betting company.

The fact that they cover a vast area of betting does give these bonuses and reliability which is great, but I feel they also have the effect of their poker not being given their full attention. Don’t get me wrong though, the playing experience is reasonably good, but it’s the same old avatars stuck in the same old poses as other mediocre sites in the graphics area. The player traffic is ok, and a new loyalty bonus scheme that has been added to Coral should be helpful in the long run too.
I like the twenty four hour support which is in operation and I certainly like the variety of games which covers the usual three games as expected (Omaha, Stud, and Holdem), and also offers five card draw too which is a nice addition.
Players at Coral will also find a very good variety of tournaments and high value gaurantees to keep the more serious players interested. Of course there are the smaller tournaments in place too for the more leisurely player. Overall I like Coral Poker and think that it is a good place to play poker, but as with many sites, there is room for a little bit of improvement.

Virgin have got some good new promotions lined up for August and their players should find their usual great value for money present in all these ongoing promotions.

Firstly there is their raked hands promotion in which cash payouts are awarded for players completing the most raked hands over the course of August. First prize for this promotion stands at 1,250 Euros, with second place paying out 850 Euros, and third place 600, with prizes going all the way to 50th place.
Aside from this there are also many tournaments lined up throughout August at all different levels. Freerolls are available too for players of more modest means. Virgin also has a system currently running where ‘V*Points’ are earned for all wagers and these accumulated points are then used to purchase many things including air miles. So play enough poker over the coming months, and you may even be able to squeeze in a holiday before the winter sets in.
Another great ongoing promotion is the ‘Virgin Poker Festival’. Seats for this can be won on Virgins poker site and the event will be moving around venues across the country. At the event itself there will be bad beat jackpots, bounty prizes such as a trip to Las Vegas, and a main event tournament which runs for two days, and has a very healthy looking prize pool, considering £5,000 is added to the pot. As you can see by these exciting promotions, August will be an action packed month at Virgin Poker.

I suppose the main attraction in Celeb Poker is obvious, in that players get a chance to play poker against actors, sports stars or a famous face. In many respects I think there are lots of people who will find this an attractive prospect, but I am not one of those. I play at a poker site to play against poker players, their profession is irrelevent to me.

Having said that there are many other enjoyable things about Celeb Poker which are worth your time.
I must firstly say that I like the design of the poker tables and cards, expect these to be crisp and smooth enough, if you are going to join the site. Celeb Poker offers a 100% bonus on first time deposits which is around the average for poker sites, and is good considering the site is still relatively new.
I like the games offered at Celeb Poker, which are Holdem, Omaha with hi/lo format, and five card draw. Theis offers somthing slightly different from the usual.
The tournament traffic isn’t at the highest levels online, but it is reasonable enough so that you shouldn’t have excessive waiting for a game. the lack of U.S players has had some sort of effect on many online sites in this regard, and so Celeb Poker is still comparitively good in this area. Lastly, Celeb poker has a good number of promotions going at any given time and new ones are often implemented with each passing week.
Overall Celeb poker is good, and I wouldn’t be displeased to be playing my poker there, although there is still room for growth and development.

There are always new things to check out at Pacific poker, with many different turnaments to be entered, and excellent prizes to be won. There are large scale gauranteed tournaments being held regularly too, with new winners each week.

I think in terms of what should be new at Pacific, I do not like the graphics at the tables, and think that the players and cards look almost cartoon like. But that is just a personal note, and others may of course like the tables as they are.
Generally you will always find Pacific coming up with new ideas for promotions each month, and there is a good number of these ongoing at any time. Current prmotions include, ‘8.8.8′ which includes prize giveaways such as chipsets, gaurantee tournaments, and surprise tournament announcements. Also referring a new player to the site, results in cash payouts to both yourself and the friend that joins Pacific.
Also running at the moment is a ‘double or nothing’ promotion where half the players who sit down at the table will win nothing if they are the first knocked out, and the remaining half will double their buy in. If you are good at surviving the early stages of Sit n Go’s, this could be a promotion suited to you.
On top of these offers, new players will find themselves receiving a nice bonus to start them off as well as a freeroll especially for new players. Pacific Poker should also no doubt be ready to release their next set of promotions soon, as the end of the month is drawing near.

Using a strong re raise at virgin pocker should be a tactic you employ in two types of situation.
In the first of these you might have built up a picture of the sort of hand your virginpocker opponent has, maybe you read them as having bottom pair, or a draw with one card left to be dealt. In these situations the last thing your opponent will want is to be re raised when they put out a feeler bet to see if you have connected.
The second is if you feel you will be called because your www.virginpocker.com opponent has shown strength, but you still think your hand is certainly good enough to win once the cards are flipped over.
If you judge a player as being weak or drawing to a hand, I feel it is always good to re raise them and take the pot without giving them a chance to improve their hand. Contrary to some virginpocker.com players beliefs though, you do not have to move all in to force someone out of a pot.
You might even say that a slightly smaller bet holds more strength, because it implies that you want a call. Besides this, if there is one pocker betting round remaining still, then a bet of half the opposing players stack is going to give them the same impression as an all in bet.
That impression is that if they call this bet, then they are going to have to call for all of their chips by the time the hand reaches its conclusion. To match your bet, in the players mind, they have to commit themselves fully to the virgin pocker hand they are holding in much the same way as they would to call an all in bet.
The only difference is that you leave yourself room for error if your poker judgement is off. This is especially important if your bet is a bluff because you felt sure your opponent was weak. In this case you can get away from the hand. If you move all in remember, you have no options left to you in the hand except praying for a call or fold, depending on the circumstances of your raise.
